Who we are

FundNI (fundni.org) is a free directory of grassroots, sports and community grants for Northern Ireland. It is operated by Plaintext Labs, the data controller for this site.

What we collect

You can browse grants without creating an account. If you subscribe to alerts we store:

• your email address
• optional filters you choose (grant type and Northern Ireland council area)
• the date you subscribed, and when we last sent you an alert
• a unique unsubscribe token so you can stop emails in one click

We do not ask for your name, postcode, or payment details for alerts. Colour theme is stored in your browser only.

Like most websites, our host may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how the directory is used. We do not use that data to send you emails or adverts.

Why we use it

We use your email only to send grant alert emails that match the filters you chose. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

For alert emails, our lawful basis under UK GDPR is consent. You give that consent by submitting the subscribe form. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in each email.

For running and improving the public directory, our lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the site available, secure, and useful for people looking for Northern Ireland funding.

Who we share it with

We only share personal data with services that help us run FundNI:

• Supabase, which stores subscriber records
• Resend, which sends the alert emails
• Vercel, which hosts the website and provides analytics

Some of those providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, they should use a lawful transfer mechanism, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep an active subscriber record for as long as you want alerts. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending email and mark the record inactive. We may keep the email address on that suppression list so we do not message you again by mistake.

If you want the record deleted entirely, email alerts@fundni.org and we will erase it unless we must keep a limited record to show we have respected an unsubscribe request.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. You can also withdraw consent for emails at any time.

Use the unsubscribe link in any alert, or email alerts@fundni.org. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Children

FundNI is aimed at clubs, community groups, and organisations in Northern Ireland, not at children. Please do not subscribe if you are under 13.
