Criteria and guidance

Grants of up to £15,000, with typical awards between £5,000 and £6,000, are available for small charities, constituted groups, and some CICs in Northern Ireland. The funding supports work that reduces isolation, stigma, and discrimination for specific marginalised groups, including asylum seekers and refugees, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities, people with mental health issues, offenders and ex-offenders, older people, people affected by violence or abuse, and young people.

Local applicant groups must have an annual income under £100,000. The programme does not fund work based exclusively in Greater London, nor does it fund schools or individuals.

Applicants must take the eligibility quiz on the Allen Lane Foundation website before applying.
