What is funded
For larger scale events which have value and interest well beyond the local Council area. Please note that the delivery period for the large scale events must be after 1 December 2026. Organisations/Projects must be community based and not for personal profit. Organisations/Groups must not already hold a medium CD or GR grant, Large Event or International Tourism Event grant in this financial year. This Large event must be of significance across and beyond our Borough. For larger scale events which have value and interest well beyond the local Council area. If you want to purchase equipment ONLY then please apply for a small capital grant. Printing costs for advertising only linked to the programme and not exceeding £200. Materials relevant to the Event. Medals and Trophies. Road closure costs. Public Liability Insurance costs for an Event. Hire of a Mobile Accessible Toilet Purchase of equipment - capped at £500 Venue hire – This must be a publicly recognised venue e.g. a Community Centre (not a domestic property)
Criteria and guidance
Applications are open to formally constituted, community-managed, autonomous, and not-for-profit organisations. Events must take place after 1 December 2026 and have regional significance beyond the local borough. Organisations must not already hold a medium CD, GR, Large Event, or International Tourism Event grant in the current financial year. Eligible costs include publicly recognised venue hire, linked equipment hire or purchase (capped at £500), advertising print costs up to £200, event materials, medals and trophies, road closure costs, public liability insurance, and mobile accessible toilets.
